專案簡介 :
The sequence moves from foundational understanding → applied technical knowledge → Taiwan‑specific context → deliberation skills → scenario and briefing‑material preparation.
By the end, students can:
- Explain renewable energy in neutral, accessible language
- Support briefing‑material development
- Participate in community discussions
- Assist with basic project siting
- Understand the policy, economic, and social context of renewables in Taiwan
- Operate effectively in the deliberation cycle
成果報告 :
Session 1 — Project Overview
This session provides an overview of the project planning by breaking down the project into components and detailed background story.
Content
- Project scope and to-do's
- Planning, design experiment (demographic sampling)
- Preparing: briefing material, logistics,
- Execution: community outreach
- Why deliberation is used in energy planning
Outcome Students can explain the purpose of the project in simple, neutral terms.
+++
Session 2 — Energy Transition Foundations
This session gives students the "why" behind the project and prepares them to explain it to residents.
Content
- Global energy transition drivers
- Taiwan’s energy challenges (imports, grid, emissions)
- Why communities are involved in energy decisions
- Why deliberation is used in energy planning
Outcome Students can explain the purpose of the project in simple, neutral terms.
+++
Session 3 — Renewable Energy Technologies I: Solar & Storage
Students learn the technologies most relevant to Taiwan and to Tai‑An.
Content
- Solar PV basics (rooftop vs. ground-mounted)
- Land use, shading, efficiency, maintenance
- Agrivoltaics and dual-use land
- Energy storage basics and why it matters
Outcome Students can describe solar and storage systems and their trade-offs.
+++
Session 4 — Renewable Energy Technologies II: Wind & Grid Integration
This session deepens technical literacy.
Content
- Onshore wind: siting, noise, safety, visual impact
- Offshore wind: Taiwan's industry, constraints, opportunities
- Grid integration: intermittency, curtailment, grid upgrades
- Why grid constraints matter for communities
Outcome Students can explain wind energy and grid issues in accessible language.
+++
Session 5 — Project Siting & Development
This prepares students for scenario development and community discussions.
Content
- How developers choose sites (resource, land, grid, environment)
- Environmental and social impact basics (EIA basics)
- Typical development timeline
- Taiwan-specific siting constraints (agriculture, biodiversity, land rights)
- Common community concerns and how developers address them
Outcome Students can help design realistic scenarios and understand local sensitivities.
+++
Session 6 — Renewable Energy Economics & Financing
Students learn how projects are funded and why financial models matter for communities.
Content
- CAPEX/OPEX basics
- FITs, auctions, PPAs
- Investor roles (developers, banks, insurers)
- Community investment models (co-ops, joint ventures, revenue sharing)
- Case studies from Taiwan and abroad
Outcome Students can explain financial concepts simply and support briefing materials.
